If you're interested in playing, you're welcome to show up at any of our practices. No experience is necessary. We just ask that you let us know in advance. You can message us through any of our social media platforms (checked daily) or fill out our contact form (only recommended if you don't use social media. Note that contact form is infrequently monitored)!

Rugby 101
Before every competitive season in the Fall and Spring, the Gryphons organize an on-boarding clinic called Rugby 101. This is a great way for you to get involved with the team, especially if you're a bit nervous. Rugby 101 is tailored to newbie players with little to no experience (but all experience levels are welcome).

If you want to hang out with the Gryphons, but aren't ready, or you just plain don't want to play rugby you can still join the team as a social member. You'll be welcome to join us at our games, drink-ups (the third half), and at our social events.

MEMBERSHIP dUES
The Gryphons charge membership dues on a per season or annual basis. Dues cover a portion of our operations budget. The current fees for a new player's rookie season are set at $40.00. Social membership is currently set at $50.00 per season. Note: the Gryphons are committed to making Rugby accessible to all--if membership fees are an obstacle for you we will work with you to reduce or eliminate those dues on a case-by-case basis.
The Philadelphia Gryphons Rugby Football Club (RFC) is a sports organization dedicated to encouraging participation, building athleticism, and improving our community through the sport of Rugby. We work to foster a diverse and inclusive environment that welcomes all athletes, regardless of age, race, fitness level, sexual orientation or gender identity. We are a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union and International Gay Rugby competing in Division IV play. We are also committed to the betterment of our community through service and giving.
